A ceremony marking the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Home Army and the National Remembrance Day of the “Cursed Soldiers” took place on Wednesday, 28 March, in the Councillors’ Hall. During the ceremony, Bolesławiec Mayor Piotr Roman and Józef Pokładek, head of the City Council, presented Home Army soldiers with diplomas expressing gratitude for their struggle for the freedom and independence of the Republic of Poland.

Diplomas were presented to: Capt. Piotr Mazurkiewicz, Lucyna Kowalik, Capt. Stanisław Żurowski, Lt. Leon Dąbrowski, Lt. Władysław Hołub, Lt. Paweł Krzyżanowski, 2nd Lt. Pelagia Pukanty, 2nd Lt. Genowefa Sołkiewicz and 2nd Lt. Kazimierz Sołkiewicz.
