Bolesławiec police carried out a “Speed” operation aimed at improving safety on the roads of the city and county. Officers checked 118 vehicles and issued 110 fines for exceeding the permitted speed.
Police remind drivers that excessive speed is one of the most common causes of road accidents, while seat belts are the most effective way to ensure safety while driving. Half of those killed in road accidents could have survived if they had been wearing seat belts at the time of the collision.
