Efforts to obtain the ISO 9001:2001 certificate began at Bolesławiec City Hall in May last year. At that time, the mayor appointed Jerzy Zieliński, the City Secretary, as the Quality Representative.
In June 2003, the organisation of work at the City Hall was analysed. A month later, training was held for the City Hall management and a group of officials responsible for implementing procedures in accordance with quality standards. From among them, the mayor appointed internal auditors who supervised the quality system and its improvement.
“This new approach to the work of the City Hall is intended both to strive for the satisfaction of residents and to meet the needs of the entire environment in which the office operates. Every employee of Bolesławiec City Hall is obliged to comply with and implement the adopted Quality Policy, whose mission is the professional operation of a resident-friendly office,” explains the city’s press spokesperson, Agnieszka Gergont.
