Two theatres were invited to open the renovated Old Theatre. On Thursday (22 March) and Friday (23 March), “The Misanthrope” by the Modrzejewska Theatre, directed by Anna Wieczur-Bluszcz, will be staged on the renovated stage. On Sunday (25 March), actors from the Wrocław Young Audience Stage Twister will perform for parents and children.
The play by the well-known Bolesławiec director Anna Wieczur-Bluszcz (she directed the film “And London Can Be Here” as part of the BOK project together with Istotne.pl) has received excellent reviews and features interesting interpretations of the main roles. Celimena (Katarzyna Wolak-Dworak) is a feminist fighting for her rights, while Alceste (Tadeusz Ratuszniak) behaves like well-known politicians—he promises one thing and does another.
The Wrocław theatre’s production “Dreams to Fulfill”, directed by Stefan Brzozowski, explores the interesting issue of the differences between dreams and goals in life: we pursue dreams with passion, while we choose goals not always in accordance with our dreams.
The competition has ended. Individual tickets for “The Misanthrope” were won by: Anna Hasiak, Alicja Medyńska and Józef Jabłoński. For “Dreams to Fulfill”: Remigiusz Olejnik, Małgorzata Artymowicz and Malwina Krajniak. Congratulations to the winners.
