The 51-year-old Lithuanian was arrested on February 2. The police dispatcher received a report that a truck was traveling along the A4 motorway and that its driver was probably under the influence of alcohol. Officers stopped the man for a roadside check. The 51-year-old was drunk. He had more than 3.5 per mille of alcohol in his system. What is more, he offered the officers a bribe in exchange for abandoning their official duties.
The Lithuanian was taken into police custody. He now faces a prison sentence of up to 10 years.
