– We organize charity campaigns every year – says Agnieszka Niedźwiecka, supervisor of the Student Council at II Liceum Ogólnokształcące in Bolesławiec and a German teacher. – This year, on the occasion of Christmas, we decided to organize a collection of sweets for children from the Parish of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ.
The entire school joined the “Sweet Christmas” campaign. On Monday, December 19, Aleksandra Bojanowska and Sylwia Skorupa from the Student Council presented parish priest Andrzej Gidziński with sweet gifts for young children from families in need.
– Wise people say that the rich person is the one who can share with others – Father Gidziński said during the ceremony. – We are as rich as we are able to share with those who are in need.
That day, a competition for the best Christmas poster was also decided. The jury awarded first prize to Michał Krestow from class II c. There was also joint carol singing.
