On Saturday, at Bolesławiec’s Market Square, we will celebrate the approaching Christmas holidays together with guests from Kamenz. Bolesławiec will turn into a city of angels thanks to workshops organised by BOK-MCC.
As part of an EU-funded project, seven-day art workshops were held in Bolesławiec and Kamenz. Participants created their own angel wings. The workshops were aimed at children and young people aged 6 to 20, as well as people with disabilities from a special school and an occupational therapy centre.
The workshop participants were invited to take part in the happening. On Saturday, 17 December, they will walk in a procession around the Market Square during a pre-Christmas meeting of residents with the city authorities.
An angels’ town will also be created in the Market Square on Saturday. It will include a nativity scene with live animals and a house where Santa Claus will read Polish and German Christmas stories to children. There will be demonstrations of bauble painting, stalls offering traditional Christmas goods, and stalls serving Christmas Eve dishes. A rich artistic programme will be presented on stage.
