The exhibition presents, in an interesting and highly accessible way, topics from three fields of science: mathematics, physics and astronomy. Visiting the exhibition becomes a unique journey through successive centuries and areas of knowledge. At several dozen stations, visitors can conduct experiments independently and learn about the operating principles of devices that accompany us in everyday life.
Students, teachers and headteachers from Bolesławiec secondary schools helped organize the exhibition. Students of the First General Secondary School (Dominika Sierpień, Jagoda Strzeszyńska, Aleksander Kinach, Wojciech Kus and Mateusz Wilk), under the supervision of their teacher Andrzej Idzik, prepared stations related, among other things, to the operation of eddy currents. Additional informational materials and a multimedia presentation were prepared by a team led by Joanna Misiura. Barbara Hil and Adam Rozwadowski from the Second General Secondary School, under the supervision of mathematics teacher Edyta Gawlik-Lippik, prepared stations explaining the application of conic sections in an accessible way. The multimedia show during the opening was presented by a graduate of that school, Kamil Chojnicki.
The exhibition can be visited until 12 February 2012. Tickets for school groups cost PLN 1 per person.
