The A4 motorway renovation is entering another stage. In the second half of October, the interchanges toward Zgorzelec at the Udanin and Gościsław junctions will be closed. For drivers, this means they will have to use detours. At the same time, work at the Budziszów and Kąty Wrocławskie junctions is coming to an end.
Further A4 closures from October 18
As announced, on Sunday, October 18, in the evening, the interchange toward Zgorzelec at the Udanin junction will be closed.
Two days later, on Tuesday, October 20, in the evening, the closure will also include the interchange toward Zgorzelec at the Gościsław junction.
The changes are connected with another stage of the A4 motorway renovation. This time, the work will cover the northern interchanges, those leading toward Zgorzelec.
What detours will be in effect?
Drivers traveling on the A4 motorway toward Zgorzelec will have to expect changes to traffic organization. The detour will lead along the motorway to the Budziszów junction, and then back to the Udanin and Gościsław junctions.
Road manager: – For vehicles wishing to enter the motorway via a closed interchange, we recommend driving to the Kostomłoty junction and returning to continue toward Zgorzelec.
Drivers should pay attention to temporary signs and exercise caution in the area of the works.
Good news for drivers, at two junctions
At the same time, renovation work on the interchanges at the Budziszów and Kąty Wrocławskie junctions is coming to an end.
On Sunday, October 18, in the evening, work is scheduled to finish on the Budziszów junction interchange leading toward Wrocław. In turn, on Tuesday, October 20, also in the evening, work is expected to finish on the Kąty Wrocławskie junction interchange leading in the same direction.
Once the work is complete, both junctions are expected to be fully passable.
When will the A4 disruptions end?
According to estimates, work on the northern carriageway of the A4 motorway toward Zgorzelec is expected to finish in the first week of November. The renovation-related disruptions should end at the same time.
The date may change, partly due to weather conditions.
The road manager is appealing to drivers to exercise caution and pay attention to the temporary traffic organization.
