The incident occurred on Friday afternoon on provincial road 364, on the section between Jerzmanice-Zdrój and Pielgrzymka. Three passenger cars were involved in the accident.
Emergency services from Złotoryja County were dispatched to the scene. A helicopter from the Polish Medical Air Rescue also took part in the operation.
The woman and her unborn baby could not be saved
As a result of her injuries, despite the rescuers’ prolonged efforts, the pregnant woman died. Her unborn baby could not be saved either.
Another person was also injured in the accident and was transported to hospital.
The police and prosecutor’s office are investigating the causes and circumstances of this terrible tragedy.
