New water supply system on Akacjowa Street in Bolesławiec
As part of the work, a new section of the water supply network will be built using PE160/110 polyethylene pipes, with a total length of 430 meters. The steel water supply connections will also be replaced.

According to Przedsiębiorstwo Wodociągów i Kanalizacji „Dolina Bobru”, the main aim of the project is to organize the water supply infrastructure before the new road surface is laid. The use of modern materials is intended to improve the network’s reliability, reduce the risk of failures and eliminate hidden leaks. It should also help maintain stable water pressure.
The cost of replacing the water supply network and connections is PLN 370,000 gross. The project is financed from the own funds of PWiK „Dolina Bobru”.
Reconstruction of Akacjowa and Wierzbowa streets. What will change?
The water supply replacement is only part of the planned work. At the end of August, Urząd Miasta Bolesławiec handed the construction site over to the contractor, beginning preparations for the reconstruction of Akacjowa Street and a section of Wierzbowa Street.
The investment includes comprehensive roadworks and infrastructure modernization. The plans include:
- renovation of the surfaces of Akacjowa Street and Wierzbowa Street,
- renovation of existing bays, verges and driveways,
- modernization of drainage and replacement of inlets,
- renovation of the tops of underground utility structures,
- modernization of lighting and replacement of cable lines,
- restoration of greenery,
- installation of new vertical and horizontal road markings,
- construction of a new water supply network with connections.
Combining the roadworks with the water supply replacement will make it possible to modernize both infrastructure elements as part of a coordinated project.
How much does the investment in Bolesławiec cost?
The project is being carried out jointly by Gmina Miejska Bolesławiec and Przedsiębiorstwo Wodociągów i Kanalizacji „Dolina Bobru” under an agreement. The contractor is ZIB ELTOR from Lubań.
The value of the contract for the reconstruction of the streets is PLN 1.86 million. Independently of this, PWiK is financing the replacement of the water supply network and connections with PLN 370,000 gross.
The investment is intended to combine improvements to the condition of the roads with modernization of the underground infrastructure.
