New sports field in Bolesławiec ready, but children still cannot use it. Opening only on October 9

The new sports field on Topolowa Street in Bolesławiec is ready, but KS Kolonia players are still training at the previous facility. The editorial office received a Reader’s report asking why the new field has not yet been made available for use.

The person who submitted the report pointed out that the inspections had been completed and that the turf and remaining infrastructure were ready for use.

They added:

Unfortunately, even though the field is ready, children still have to train on the so-called “upper field,” whose condition leaves much to be desired. The reason? The new facility has still not been officially opened. Players are prohibited from holding training sessions and playing matches there until the ceremonial opening.

Opening on October 9

During today’s session of the Bolesławiec City Council, President Piotr Roman announced that the facility’s official opening would take place on October 9 at 5:00 p.m.. The authorities of the Municipal Sports and Recreation Centre also want to present the field’s lighting during the event.

“All this so that the ribbon can be cut first”?

The author of the report is critical of the fact that children still cannot use the completed facility.

As a result, the field is ready, the children are waiting, and instead of using the new facility, they are still training on the old and heavily worn field.

The Reader believes that the situation may give the impression that the opening ceremony itself is considered more important than the possibility of using the completed facility.

It is difficult not to get the impression that in this entire situation, the most important consideration is not the children and their ability to use the completed facility, but rather the proper staging of the opening itself.

In the report, the Reader stated that the opening was originally supposed to take place on October 2. According to the account, the date was postponed, with waiting for the presence of a government representative cited as a possible reason.

However, this was not confirmed by Municipal authorities.
