The incident took place in the center of Bolesławiec. The woman notified the police that an unknown young man had allegedly tried to snatch her handbag. Officers began efforts to identify and apprehend the perpetrator.
The case was taken up by officers from the Criminal Division of the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters. After analyzing the information they had gathered, they identified a person who might have been connected with the incident.
The officers’ findings indicated that the attempted particularly brazen theft had allegedly been committed by a 15-year-old resident of Bolesławiec municipality.
The teenager was detained the day after the incident. The evidence collected by the police was submitted to the family court.
The family court decided to apply a temporary measure against the 15-year-old by placing him in a youth educational center for a period of three months.
The family court will decide the minor’s further fate.
