The incident observed by the reader is a striking example of recklessness and the potential dangers that may arise on the road.
– Another beautiful day in Bolesławiec – a reader wrote to us. – Three motorcycles are entering the city from the bypass. On the second one, as a passenger, there was a girl without a helmet. The third one, riding last, as can be seen in the photo, was without a helmet, wearing flip-flops and without lights. On the bypass, it was visible from about 20 m away, and it was traveling at 60 km/h. It was lucky that someone with poorer eyesight, driving at 90 km/h, did not run it over after dark – the reader added.
Visibility from just 20 meters at a speed of 60 km/h, especially after dark, created an extreme risk of collision.
This incident should serve as a warning to all road users. Road safety is a shared responsibility and requires everyone to exercise caution, follow regulations, and ensure appropriate protective equipment. Recklessness and disregard for the rules can have tragic consequences that can be avoided through sensible and responsible conduct.
