The market in Bolesławiec is to undergo a partial redevelopment. Covered parking spaces are planned for the area where no commercial activity currently takes place. The first stage involves launching around 60 spaces.
The new spaces are to be created in existing pavilions, which will be adapted for their new purpose. The area is to be fenced and closed off, while security will be enhanced by surveillance cameras.
The parking spaces will be primarily intended for rent. However, the planned changes do not mean that the market’s commercial section will be closed. Trading will continue, and entrepreneurs operating there will not lose their spaces.
The market has operated in its current form for nearly 15 years. The property covers almost one hectare, and around 80 people involved in various types of trade and services conduct business there.
The market is co-owned by a municipal entity and more than 30 private shareholders.
