Using the car park in front of the discount store in Bolesławiec is troublesome after dark. Instead of a safe, well-lit area, customers are met with darkness.

The lack of adequate lighting in the car park not only makes it difficult to park a car or push a shopping trolley, but also creates a genuine danger.

Residents’ anger has reached its peak, and customers are asking directly: why is the chain unable to provide basic safety standards?

The scale of the problem and the extreme irritation of residents are reflected in a message sent to our editorial office by one of our readers:

“I am writing to you about the lack of lighting in Lidl’s car park in Bolesławiec,” the reader reports. “It has been this dark for a year or longer, and Lidl does not seem to mind. You could break your legs. It is a tragedy—nothing can be seen, and people walk around with flashlights,” the reader adds.

In connection with the situation, we sent official questions to the chain’s press office:

  1. Does Lidl know about the lack of lighting in the store’s car park in Bolesławiec?
  2. What is causing the prolonged darkness at this location, and why has the fault not been repaired so far?

We will publish the information after receiving it from Lidl’s press office.
