Plans to establish a modern Rehabilitation Centre in the building on Zygmunt Augusta Street in Bolesławiec emerged several years ago. In 2025, Szpital św. Łukasza received PLN 7 million in funding for the implementation of the project “Thermal Modernisation of Szpital św. Łukasza in Bolesławiec – 20 Zygmunta Augusta Street”. The investment is now entering its next stage.
During the August session of the Bolesławiec County Council, starosta Tomasz Gabrysiak asked the hospital director Kamil Barczyk when the modernised building would be ready.
Kamil Barczyk said that three bids had been submitted: – We are moving towards awarding the contract.
He added: – The deadline for completing the project is set for 30 May next year.
The starosta asked again about the issue most important to residents: when the first patients would arrive there. The director replied that this would happen in June next year.
