The incident occurred on Friday, 21 August, on Zygmunta Augusta Street in Bolesławiec, near the former headquarters of the County Police Headquarters. A Reader informed us about the matter, saying that a pedestrian might have been hit.

According to the police findings, however, the course of events was different.

One of the drivers stopped before the pedestrian crossing to let a person standing nearby pass. The Audi driver travelling behind failed to pay sufficient attention and crashed into the back of the Hyundai.

The police stressed that the pedestrian was not involved in the incident and was not hit.

The Audi was driven by a 38-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County. She was cautioned.

The collision took place near a pedestrian crossing, which is why it might initially have seemed that a pedestrian had been hit. Ultimately, it turned out that the incident involved two cars.
