The MKS Bolesłavia team performed brilliantly at the Interprovincial Youth Championships held in Wrocław last weekend. In the overall standings, our athletes defeated all clubs from the Lower Silesian and Lubusz voivodeships, winning 9 medals and 26 points-scoring finalist places.

Particular praise goes to our runner Ewa Ochocka, a student of Małgorzata Markowska. Ewa had no equal in the sprint distances. In the 100 m race, she recorded a time of 12.48 (the second athlete to cross the finish line recorded 13.12). It is worth adding that in the heats, the Bolesłavia athlete achieved an even better time of 12.43. She was also the best in the 300 m, defeating the runner-up by nearly one and a half seconds.

Another double medalist was Dawid Kopała. He won gold in the hammer throw (his result of 52.10 is a new personal best) and silver in the discus throw (49.58, also a personal best). In the men’s 5000 m walk, Grzegorz Oślak (26:47.48) proved unbeatable, winning by more than 3 minutes over the next competitor. In the girls’ youth hammer throw, luck was on the side of Karolina Mrozik. Thanks to a fantastic throw of 40.77 (Karolina’s new personal best and a new club record in this age category), she won the gold medal.

The MKS Bolesłavia team won the club competition, earning as many as 40 points in the Youth Sports System. We present the standings below:
