Several reports concerning the rules for using MultiSport cards at swimming pools in Bolesławiec have reached our editorial office. Readers point out the difference between the offer at Termy Bolesławiec and at Orka swimming pool, particularly regarding the use of the sauna.

The issue allegedly concerns people who have a MultiSport card but, during their visit to Termy, want to use only the swimming pool. According to information provided by one Reader, at Termy only a package including “pool + sauna” is available, which involves an additional payment of PLN 10.

“Even if I went with my child and wanted to use only the pool…”

One Reader, who asked us to publicize the issue, described his situation to our editorial office. He also pointed out that it is particularly problematic in August, when Orka is closed:

You discussed on the portal the issue of admission to swimming pools in Bolesławiec for MultiSport card users and the PLN 10 extra charge when one wants to use the sauna. At Orka, I have a choice of whether I want to enter the pool only or pay extra for the sauna, whereas at Termy there is only one package, called “pool + sauna”, and even if I went with my child and wanted to use only the pool, I—as an adult—have to pay an additional PLN 10, even though I will not use the sauna at all.

He added: – In August, Orka is closed and I have no choice. I called MOSiR about this and was informed that this was the agreement that had been signed and “we cannot do anything about it”.

He concluded:

It is somewhat unfair.

We asked MOSiR about the rules for using MultiSport

On 3 August, we sent questions to the Municipal Sports and Recreation Centre in Bolesławiec concerning the rules for using MultiSport cards at Termy Bolesławiec. Above all, we asked whether MultiSport card users at Termy really have only the “pool + sauna” package to choose from, requiring an additional payment of PLN 10.

We also wanted to determine whether MOSiR plans or is considering introducing a ticket at Termy covering only the pool area for MultiSport users. If such a solution were being considered, we also asked when it might be introduced.

By the time this article was published, we had not received answers to our questions.

Will it be possible to use only the pool?

If it is confirmed that at Termy a MultiSport card really allows access only to the “pool + sauna” package, people who do not intend to use the sauna have no option of choosing a cheaper variant covering the pool area alone.

We are still awaiting MOSiR’s response. If we receive it, we will supplement the article with the centre’s position and an explanation of what the applicable rules result from and whether any changes in this regard are planned.
