On August 4, after the storm had passed, firefighters from OSP KSRG Nowogrodziec carried out two interventions related to removing the effects of strong winds. The operations were conducted in Parzyce and Kierżno.

The most serious situation occurred in Kierżno, where a dozen trees fell onto a county road. One of them landed on a passing passenger car. Fortunately, the two people traveling in the vehicle managed to leave it unaided and were not injured.

Removing the storm damage along this section of road took approximately three hours. Firefighters from OSP KSRG Nowogrodziec, OSP Zebrzydowa, OSP Gierałtów, OSP Brzeźnik and OSP KSRG Czerna were involved in the operation.

Strong winds during storms can break branches and uproot entire trees within seconds. Road sections running through forests or tree-lined avenues are particularly dangerous, as falling trunks can completely block passage or land on moving vehicles.

The services remind people that while storm warnings are in effect, it is advisable to limit travel to what is absolutely necessary and avoid parking cars under trees. Even after the rainfall has stopped, damaged or partially broken trees may pose a serious danger to drivers and pedestrians.
