On Friday, September 9, police officers from Nowogrodziec received information about a break-in at a grocery store. The officers immediately went to the scene, where they noticed a car driven by a 31-year-old resident of Kowary. The man blocked the officers’ path, then got out of the vehicle and began to flee. He was arrested shortly afterward.
As it turned out, the suspect stole 20 chocolates, the cash register drawer containing PLN 1,000, and a surveillance recorder. The losses were estimated at more than PLN 2,500. What is more, the 31-year-old was also proven to have committed another burglary, which took place in July this year in the Nowogrodziec municipality.
The man was taken to the remand centre in Jelenia Góra. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
