On Saturday morning, July 25, firefighters from OSP KSRG Warta Bolesławiecka responded twice. The rescuers were first dispatched to remove a dangerous hydraulic oil spill, and immediately after completing that operation they left for a fire involving stored wood in Tomaszów Bolesławiecki.

The first report came in at 4:14. Firefighters went to provincial road no. 363 in Warta Bolesławiecka, where hydraulic oil had spilled onto the roadway. Petroleum-based substances on the road surface pose a serious hazard to drivers, especially motorcyclists and cyclists, so the operation involved securing the scene and removing the contaminants from the roadway.

After completing the operation, however, the firefighters did not return to the station. They were immediately redirected to another incident—a fire involving stored wood next to a building in Tomaszów Bolesławiecki.

Thanks to the firefighters’ rapid response, the fire was brought under control efficiently before it could spread to nearby buildings. This prevented considerably more serious losses and eliminated the threat to local residents.

The hazards were eliminated and, fortunately, no one was hurt.
