The incident occurred on July 22, during the morning hours, at an exit from the A4 motorway. A collision involving a motorcycle and a Volkswagen passenger car took place there.
According to information provided by the services, the 62-year-old Dutch national riding the motorcycle failed to yield the right of way to the Volkswagen driver, who was a resident of Bolesławiec County. As a result, the two vehicles collided.
A police patrol was dispatched to the scene and established the circumstances of the incident. The person responsible for the collision was issued a PLN 1,500 fine.
Fortunately, the incident ended as a road collision, and there was no need to undertake measures related to a road accident.
Police remind drivers that failing to yield the right of way is one of the most common causes of road incidents. Particular caution is necessary especially at motorway exits and in places where traffic directions intersect. Even a moment of inattention can lead to a dangerous situation on the road.
