A 54-year-old resident of Gromadka municipality was detained by officers from the Police Station in Kruszyn. The man was wanted to serve an eight-month prison sentence imposed for failing to comply with a court ban on driving motor vehicles.

According to police, this was not the first violation of the restrictions imposed on him. The man had already been detained several times while riding a scooter, despite the court having previously banned him from driving vehicles.

A particularly intense series of interventions took place in February. At that time, officers from the Police Post in Gromadka detained the 54-year-old twice for violating the court ban on driving vehicles.

However, this was not the end of his legal troubles. A few days ago, the man was detained once again while riding a scooter, this time by officers from the Independent Police Prevention Subunit in Legnica, who were on duty in Bolesławiec County.

The latest intervention means that, in addition to serving the previously imposed prison sentence, the 54-year-old will also face charges for another offense involving failure to comply with a court ruling.

Police remind the public that disregarding a court ban on driving vehicles is a criminal offense. Violating such a ban carries criminal liability, including imprisonment. Officers emphasize that every subsequent inspection revealing such a violation may result in additional charges and more severe consequences for the offender.
