After the CPN (Lower Fuel Prices) program, which was intended to limit rising fuel prices, came to an end, prices at stations began to rise noticeably again. Drivers are feeling further increases, and prices in many places have exceeded the projected national averages.
There are public discussions about possible measures that could limit further increases in fuel prices, but no specific solutions have been presented so far.
According to the e-petrol forecast for July 13–19, average retail prices in Poland were expected to be:
- Pb98 – PLN 7.63–7.79/l
- Pb95 – PLN 6.78–6.92/l
- Diesel – PLN 6.94–7.09/l
- LPG – PLN 3.16–3.23/l.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday (July 14), drivers at the Orlen station in Bolesławiec paid:
- Pb95 – PLN 7.07/l
- ON – PLN 7.29/l
- LPG – PLN 3.39/l
- Pb98 (Verva) – PLN 7.87/l
- Verva Diesel – PLN 7.59/l

The comparison shows that the largest difference concerns diesel: the price of PLN 7.29/l is approximately PLN 0.20 higher than the upper limit of the e-petrol forecast (PLN 7.09/l). Pb95 petrol costs PLN 7.07/l, which is PLN 0.15 more than the forecast maximum. Autogas is also more expensive: PLN 3.39/l compared with the predicted range of PLN 3.16–3.23/l.
e-petrol analysts point out that, following earlier temporary price declines, the market is once again under pressure from rising oil prices and a tense international situation. As a result, in the coming days drivers should prepare for higher fuel prices to remain at stations.
