The detention was the result of operational activities carried out by criminal investigators to combat drug-related crime in Bolesławiec County.

The first to be detained was a 41-year-old resident of Bolesławiec. During the intervention, police found methamphetamine on him. Officers then searched his place of residence, where they discovered additional prohibited substances.

A 33-year-old woman was also present in the apartment. Police also checked the car she used. Narcotic substances were found in the vehicle as well.

According to information provided by police, the 41-year-old tried to convince the officers that the nearly 90 grams of marijuana seized was a medical preparation intended exclusively for his use. However, he was unable to present a prescription or documents confirming the legal origin of the substance.

Both detainees were charged with possessing narcotic substances. Under the applicable regulations, this type of offense is punishable by up to 3 years in prison.

The case is being conducted under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office, and the court will decide the suspects’ further fate.
