Just a few days ago, information indicated that the next stage of changes to traffic organization in Bolesławiec would be introduced on June 26. Ultimately, the date was postponed. The General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways announced that the new organization would take effect on Monday, June 29.
The changes are related to the reconstruction of the transport system on national road No. 94 and the construction of new crossings over the Bóbr River.
The most important change will affect provincial road No. 350. One-way traffic will be introduced on the section from the intersection with Zgorzelecka Street to the intersection with Ceramiczna Street. This means that travel from the direction of Ceramiczna Street toward the intersection with DK94 will no longer be possible.
A detour via Fieldorfa-Nila Street has been designated for drivers.
But that is not the end of the difficulties. A left-turn ban will also be introduced at the intersection of DK94 and Fieldorfa-Nila Street. Drivers traveling toward the city center who want to reach DW350 will have to drive to the roundabout near the petrol station and turn around there.
An exception has been made for public transport: buses will not be subject to the turning ban.
According to information provided by the contractor, this stage of the temporary traffic organization is scheduled to remain in effect until mid-August. It is one element of a larger project involving the construction of two new bridges over the Bóbr River and the reconstruction of the road system on DK94.
Under the current schedule, all work is planned to be completed in the third quarter of 2027.
Drivers using this section should pay particular attention to the new signage in the coming days and allow for a possible increase in travel time.
This is what the situation looked like on June 26:
