The editorial office received a report from a reader and a phone call from a female reader concerning an incident that allegedly occurred on Friday, June 20. According to a resident, two Amstaff-type dogs allegedly entered private property and mauled a cat belonging to one of the female residents.
– Today, two Amstaffs ran onto my neighbor’s property and mauled her cat. The dogs are well known to the municipal police and local residents. The owners completely disregard the fact that the animals run around unsupervised – a reader wrote to us.
According to the account provided, this was not the first similar incident. Residents claim that the dogs had previously attacked other domestic animals as well.
– They also mauled more animals, including my neighbor’s cat. We fear that, after some time, a small child could become a victim – the person who submitted the report emphasizes.
The reader also draws attention to the animal owner’s behavior after the incident. According to the reader, the woman allegedly came to collect the dogs without leashes and allegedly behaved arrogantly while speaking with residents.
At this stage, the editorial office has only the residents’ account. In connection with the report received, we will contact the relevant services with questions concerning the intervention, previous reports about these animals, and any action that may have been taken.
Update: People with information about the incident or photographic documentation can contact the editorial office. We also ask readers to send information about any previous incidents involving these animals.
