Let us recall. On April 27, a dangerous situation occurred in Bolesławiec – a one-and-a-half-year-old child left the nursery on their own and ended up outside its premises without supervision. A passerby noticed the child and immediately notified the emergency services.

The police confirmed the report and established that the boy was enrolled at a nearby facility on Sądowa Street. Officers investigated how the child had left the nursery and how long they had been alone. Proceedings were conducted under Article 160 of the Criminal Code concerning exposure to danger.

Bolesławiec District Prosecutor Sebastian Woźniak confirmed in a conversation with istotne.pl that two people had been charged in the case under Article 160 of the Criminal Code, namely exposing another person to an immediate danger of loss of life or health.

Two nursery employees were charged. One of them confessed and gave an explanation. The other denied the charges but also gave an explanation.

For an offense under Article 160 of the Criminal Code (unintentional exposure to an immediate danger of loss of life or health), the penalties include a fine, restriction of liberty or imprisonment for up to one year.
