The long August weekend is now behind us. From Friday to Monday, Bolesławiec police officers seized 16 vehicle registration certificates (due to the poor technical condition of the vehicles) and issued 192 fines. Moreover, 14 drunk drivers were apprehended by the officers.
From 12 to 15 August, 462 accidents occurred throughout Poland, in which 53 people were killed and 604 injured. Over the four-day period, officers detained as many as 2,972 intoxicated drivers.
