Firefighters took part in the 21st edition of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship Firefighting Sports Championship. The competition, held on 9 June at the stadium on Lotnicza Street in Wrocław, featured representatives of municipal and county State Fire Service headquarters from across the region, including the team of the County State Fire Service Headquarters in Bolesławiec.
Firefighting sports have for years been an important element of firefighters’ training, combining sporting competition with the improvement of skills used during everyday service. This year’s championship provided an opportunity to assess the officers’ level of preparation and exchange experience among firefighters from different units across Lower Silesia.
Participants competed in two events: a 4 × 100-metre fire relay with obstacles and a firefighting exercise. Both events require not only excellent physical fitness, but also precision, speed of action and exemplary cooperation among the entire team.
The representation of the County State Fire Service Headquarters in Bolesławiec proudly represented its unit while competing against the region’s best teams. The Bolesławiec firefighters finished the competition in 16th place.
The championship took place in an atmosphere of sporting rivalry, mutual respect and firefighters’ brotherhood. For the participants, it was not only an opportunity to fight for the best possible result, but also to integrate the community and exchange experience that may prove valuable during rescue and firefighting operations.
The County State Fire Service Headquarters in Bolesławiec thanks the members of the representation for their commitment, effort and proud representation of the unit during the 21st Lower Silesian Voivodeship Firefighting Sports Championship.
