The incident occurred on June 9. As reported by the Emergency Medical Teams in Bolesławiec:
🔴An electric shock occurred in one of the localities in our operational area. Due to the considerable distance from the station in Bolesławiec, the estimated travel time for the emergency medical team was approximately 14 minutes. In such situations, every second matters, and the injured person’s fate often depends on the actions taken by people present at the scene.
The rescuers add:
👉Thanks to the immediate response of the witnesses, who did not remain indifferent and began providing first aid, our team had the opportunity to effectively undertake advanced rescue procedures. The injured person suffered sudden cardiac arrest as a result of the electric shock. The actions taken by the witnesses helped maintain vital functions until the medical rescuers arrived.
And they emphasize:
😍First aid is the first and most important link in the so-called chain of survival. Even the best-equipped emergency medical team cannot turn back the time that has passed between the moment cardiac arrest occurred and its arrival. That is why it is so important that witnesses to incidents are not afraid to act and perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation in accordance with their abilities.
And they conclude:
