The incident occurred on Wednesday, May 27, after 8 p.m. in one of the residential buildings in Kamienna Góra. Officers received a report of a criminal incident during which the perpetrator was allegedly supposed to have used a dangerous tool.
Officers confirmed the report. The injured 32-year-old required immediate medical assistance. Due to the nature of his injuries, he was transported to hospital.
During the operations, police detained a 23-year-old man and his 31-year-old partner. Initial findings indicated that the victim had been stabbed several times with a knife during an argument.
Officers from Kamienna Góra quickly found and secured a knife hidden in the apartment, which was allegedly used during the incident. Bloodstained clothing belonging to the suspect was also secured.
For the following hours, police conducted detailed procedural activities aimed at reconstructing the course of events. After questioning and analyzing the collected evidence, the 31-year-old woman was released.
It was determined that the injuries sustained by the 32-year-old resulted in impaired functioning of bodily organs for a period exceeding seven days. Police emphasize that the rapid response of witnesses and the efficient actions of paramedics were of enormous importance, ensuring that help arrived in time.
The 23-year-old was charged with attempted infliction of serious bodily injury. This type of offense is punishable by 3 to 20 years in prison.
However, this is not the end of the suspect’s problems. Investigators report that the man is also suspected of committing a number of other crimes in recent months. These include causing bodily injury, making criminal threats and damaging property.
On Friday, May 29, the court granted the prosecutor’s motion and ordered the 23-year-old’s temporary detention for a period of three months. The final circumstances of the incident will be established during the proceedings, and the case will ultimately be heard in court.
