Bolesławiec police officers celebrated their holiday on Monday, August 1, in the auditorium of the Forum cinema at BOK-MCC. Among those attending the ceremony were deputy head of the Lower Silesian police Marek Szmigiel and Deputy Voivode Ilona Antoniszyn-Klik.
That day, the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec received an ISO 9001:2008 quality certificate. The document was handed to Grzegorz Chirowski, head of the Bolesławiec police, by a representative of the certifying company.
Decorations were also presented during the ceremony. Bronze “Meritorious Police Officer” badges were awarded to deputy inspectors Iwona Leszczyńska and Dariusz Borski, staff sergeant Roman Boczek and sergeant Artur Meier. Staff sergeant Bogdan Dorosz was honored with the Gold Medal for Long Service, while silver medals were presented to staff sergeants Adamowi Szewczykowi and Zbigniewowi Pokładkowi. The Medal of Merit for the Police was received by Robert Relich, mayor of Nowogrodziec. Staff sergeant Adama Raczkiewicza was posthumously honored with the Silver “Meritorious Police Officer” badge.
Civilian employees were not forgotten either. Commander Chirowski presented letters of congratulations and gifts to Zofia Trzcińska and Janowi Królowi.

- to junior sergeant: Marek Bojanowski, Sebastian Kulbida, Grzegorz Maniakowski, Paweł Puk, Krzysztof Skorzeńc, Arkadiusz Woźniak
- to sergeant: Emil Jawny, Paweł Klimek, Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, Krzysztof Mrozik, Sebastian Nieradka, Bogusław Ozga, Krzysztof Policht, Artur Rosiński, Adriana Szajwaj, Paweł Włosek, Krzysztof Zator
- to senior sergeant: Waldemar Kur, Agnieszka Pitera-Maciak
- to staff sergeant: Andrzej Pyszka

That day, Grzegorz Chirowski’s deputies laid flowers on the grave of senior sergeant Dariusz Chełkowski, a Bolesławiec police officer who died in the line of duty.
