Residents of Bolesławiec and the surrounding area will have the opportunity to visit the military unit. On Tuesday, May 19, 2026, the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment is organizing an open barracks day aimed primarily at children and young people.

The event will begin at 9:00 a.m. and last until 2:00 p.m. The organizers have announced numerous attractions, presentations of military equipment and demonstrations prepared by the unit’s soldiers. It will be one of the few opportunities to enter the barracks and see up close the equipment used by artillery personnel.

The open day will be not only educational, but also promotional and integrative in nature. Participants will be able to learn about the specifics of military service, talk to soldiers and find out more about the unit’s daily operations.

This year’s event is also being held as part of celebrations marking the 160th anniversary of the birth of Lieutenant General Tadeusz Jordan-Rozwadowski, one of the most important commanders in the history of the Polish Armed Forces. This is an additional element emphasizing the historical and patriotic character of the event.
