Several dozen people came to the meeting with Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policy Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk. The meeting was hosted by MP Arkadiusz Sikora, and its initiators were Łukasz Klimowski (the MP’s assistant) and Justyna Ziółkowska (director of the District Family Support Centre in Bolesławiec).
The first topic was the difficult situation of employees at Zakłady Ceramiczne „Bolesławiec” (ZCB).
“The situation that occurred recently and has still not been fully resolved is important to us,” MP Arkadiusz Sikora said at the outset. “This is troubling information about relations between the employer and employees of Zakłady Ceramiczne „Bolesławiec”. Together with Łukasz, we are in constant contact with the company’s female and male employees, and we will try to bring this entire situation to a positive conclusion. This is an important issue for the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy. After all, who other than this ministry has much to say when it comes to relations between employees and employers?” the MP announced.
Amendment to the Act on the State Labour Inspectorate in the context of employee problems at ZCB
The government bill proposed by the Left on strengthening the State Labour Inspectorate is also intended to help support the company’s employees.
“This act makes it possible that, when an employer wants to cheat—because that is what it must be called: wants to cheat an employee—we now simply have the tools to prevent it,” the MP said. “And I think, I think that one of the first actions will be to apply the provisions of the new State Labour Inspectorate Act precisely at Zakłady Ceramiczne. I just want to send a signal to the employees of Zakłady Ceramiczne that we will monitor this, observe it and will certainly intervene if necessary,” Arkadiusz Sikora added.

The most difficult issue in Bolesławiec: dispute and conflict at ZCB
Asked about the most difficult issue in Bolesławiec, the minister replied that it was precisely the conflict at the company.
“The dispute at Zakłady Ceramiczne is extremely important to me,” Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk said. “Every story, every report—even of the possibility of labour law violations—causes concern and a desire to act, to look into the matter and to report it to the State Labour Inspectorate. I know that local activists, including MP Arkadiusz Sikora, are monitoring the situation. If necessary, the relevant institutions will be alerted. I am also available. The role of the labour minister is to create legislation, but no minister should avoid intervening in employee-related matters. I have dealt with many such cases, and if necessary I will also take action to defend the employees of Bolesławiec,” the minister added.
We have been writing extensively in our pages about the problems at ZCB and the conflict with the trade union members since July 2025. We began the series of articles by describing the employees’ situation in the piece: Zakłady Ceramiczne Bolesławiec. Fourth: Honour Your President and Board Member. We also described court judgments: PLandmark ruling concerning wages at Zakłady Ceramiczne „Bolesławiec” and Crushing Labour Court ruling against the Management Board of Zakłady Ceramiczne "Bolesławiec".
