Bolesławiec traffic police stopped a driver who exceeded the speed limit by 65 km/h outside a built-up area. During the inspection, it also turned out that the driver was not wearing a seat belt.
The driver lost his driving licence for three months.
New regulations are already in force
As officers remind us, the loss of a driving licence for 3 months currently applies to drivers who exceed the permitted speed by more than 50 km/h—not only in built-up areas, but also outside them, on a single-carriageway two-way road.
Police:
We appeal for vigilance and for continuously observing road signs on the routes we use every day. Roadworks, damaged road surfaces or other changes to traffic organisation may result in new speed limits being introduced.
