Traffic on the A4 motorway toward Wrocław has now been fully restored following a serious accident that occurred on Monday before 5:00 a.m. For several hours, drivers had to contend with major disruptions, while emergency services and police worked at the scene.
According to the officers’ findings, a 42-year-old driver struck the rear of a vehicle combination—a passenger car with a trailer transporting another vehicle. The force of the collision was so great that three people were injured and taken to hospital.
While the operation was underway, one lane was blocked, causing significant traffic slowdowns toward Wrocław. Only after several hours was the situation brought under control and the road completely cleared.
What did the officers establish?
It turned out that a passenger in one of the vehicles—a resident of the Silesian Voivodeship—was wanted.
The officers are appealing to drivers to exercise particular caution, especially in the morning hours. As they emphasize, fatigue, limited visibility, and more difficult road conditions significantly affect concentration and reaction time behind the wheel.
