The dangerous behavior of a motorcyclist was captured in a recording sent by a Reader. The footage shows the moment when the rider performs an extremely risky overtaking maneuver while riding on one wheel and crossing a double solid line. The incident occurred on the road from Raciborowice toward Bolesławiec.
The person who recorded the video did not hide their outrage. In the description sent to our editorial team, they called the motorcyclist an “idiot,” emphasizing that his behavior could have led to a serious accident. The video shows the motorcycle overtaking a car at high speed while completely ignoring the applicable regulations and basic safety rules.
Maneuvers of this kind are among the most dangerous on the road. What is more, motorcycle riders must reckon with severe consequences.
Since the end of March 2026, regulations in Poland have been significantly tightened with regard to so-called stunt riding. Deliberately lifting a wheel off the road surface, that is, riding on one wheel (a wheelie), has been explicitly classified as an offense involving dangerous behavior on the road. This means it is no longer treated as an interpretive “gray area”—if the maneuver is deliberate and does not result from the traffic situation, the police may intervene immediately.
In practice, riders must reckon with severe consequences: a fine of up to several thousand zlotys, penalty points and—most importantly—mandatory suspension of their driving license for three months. If the behavior additionally endangers other road users, for example while overtaking or violating road markings, the case may be referred to court, where the penalties are even harsher.
