From Tuesday, 28 April 2026, temporary traffic organisation is in force in Bolesławiec in connection with the reconstruction of the existing bridge and construction of a new bridge over the Bóbr River. This is another stage of a major road investment intended to improve the transport network in this part of the city.

The changes cover the area where work is being carried out and affect drivers, public transport passengers and pedestrians alike. Residents should pay particular attention to the new signs and possible delays to journeys.

Narrowing of national road no. 94

One of the most important changes is the narrowing of the carriageway on national road no. 94, on the approach to the Jerzy Szmajdziński roundabout. This means that traffic may slow down, especially during peak hours.

Drivers travelling towards the city centre and towards Zgorzelec should exercise caution and expect temporary congestion.

Bus stops on Widok Street removed

Due to the works, the existing public transport stops on Widok Street have been removed. They have been temporarily relocated to Gen. A.E. Fieldorfa “Nila” Street, along a section of the municipal road.

Turning ban and changes for pedestrians

A ban on turning right has also been introduced at the junction of Widok Street and national road no. 94 towards Zgorzelec. This is an important change for drivers who use this connection on a daily basis.

In addition, pedestrian traffic is prohibited on both sides of Widok Street – from the junction with Ceramiczna Street to the junction with DK94. The restrictions also cover a section of national road no. 94 leading to the existing signalised pedestrian crossing.

This is where pedestrians will walk

The new pedestrian route runs from Widok Street through Gen. A.E. Fieldorfa “Nila” Street and then to national road no. 94. The road administrator appeals to people to follow the signs and exercise caution near the construction site.
