Update
As established by the police, the driver of a VW T-Roc, a resident of Bolesławiec County, failed to keep a safe distance from the vehicle being overtaken and struck the side of a truck. Fortunately, no one suffered any more serious injuries.
The incident occurred on Monday, April 27, 2026, at approximately 1:00 p.m., on the A4 motorway near Kierżno. A truck and a passenger car were involved in a collision there.
Firefighters, police officers, medical rescuers and the road manager were dispatched to the scene. The swift response of the services was intended to secure the scene, provide assistance to those involved and restore smooth traffic flow along the route.
The operation involved units of the Volunteer Fire Service in Zebrzydowa, OSP KSRG Osiecznica and firefighters from JRG Bolesławiec. Police officers and a Medical Rescue Team were also working at the scene.
The police are establishing the causes and circumstances of the incident. Officers are appealing for prudence and caution on the road.
