A journalist from Muzyczne Radio, Andrzej Stefańczyk, directly asked the mayor of Bolesławiec, Piotr Roman, whether he would run in the election for head of Bolesławiec Rural Municipality. The head of the City of Ceramics replied:

I don’t know that today.

At the same time, he suggested that such a scenario cannot be ruled out, particularly if no candidate supporting the merger of the urban and rural municipalities emerges.

The local government official emphasized that he would support anyone running for village head who included the integration of the two local governments in their platform.

As he noted:

I will certainly support anyone who runs for village head in the rural municipality and has the merger of the urban municipality with the rural municipality in their platform.

At the same time, he added an important qualification: “But if no such person is found, then who knows. It needs to be considered. There are still three years.”

These words may be interpreted as a signal that the decision remains open.

What do you think? We invite you to join the discussion. We will certainly return to the subject.
