On September 4, istotne.pl published a report from a Reader who pointed out that at around 5:00 a.m. the street lamps in Rakowice stopped working. As she reported, the streets had previously still been lit at that time. The problem was particularly noticeable for pedestrians, as most roads in the village do not have sidewalks.
The Bolesławiec municipality reported that on the same day the information was published, the street-lighting failure in Rakowice and Bożejowice was fixed.
“We would like to inform you that information about the problem was published on Friday, September 4, and that on the same day the street-lighting failure in Rakowice and Bożejowice was fixed,” the Bolesławiec municipality reported.
The problem was caused by unsynchronized astronomical clocks controlling the lighting.
“The astronomical clocks controlling the lighting have been synchronized, so the street lamps should now switch on and off according to the established schedule,” the municipality reported.
This means that the problem was not caused by the deliberate early switching-off of the street lamps, but by the improper operation of the lighting control system.
The Bolesławiec municipality also asks residents to report any further irregularities directly to the Municipal Office. This should enable faster responses and repairs.
“If any further irregularities occur, please report them directly to the Bolesławiec Municipal Office, which will allow appropriate action to be taken on an ongoing basis,” the office reported.
