A dangerous road incident occurred today after 2:00 p.m. in Lubań. The Toyota suddenly crossed into the opposite lane and collided with an oncoming Hyundai. Although the entire incident looked very serious, fortunately no one was seriously injured.
According to a witness, the Hyundai driver noticed a car coming toward her and tried to avoid the collision. The woman moved as far as possible toward the right edge of the road and sounded the horn, warning the Toyota driver. This did not prevent the collision.
The Toyota hit the front of the Hyundai with great force. As a result of the collision, the front wheel of one of the vehicles was torn off. After the impact, the Toyota bounced away and stopped in the middle of the road.
Unusual cause of the collision? Witnesses point to a dog
The Toyota was carrying two adults, a child and a dog returning from the veterinarian. According to people present at the scene, the animal began waking up from anesthesia and was behaving aggressively. As reported by eluban.pl, the dog probably bit one of the people in the car, which in turn is believed to have completely distracted the driver.
Firefighters, paramedics and police at the scene
Firefighters from Lubań, a medical rescue team from Gryfów Śląski and a police patrol were dispatched to the incident. The disruption lasted about an hour.
Police are investigating the causes and circumstances of the incident. Officers are appealing for caution and prudence on the road.
