On Wednesday evening, an unusual and dramatic incident involving a wild bird occurred in Pobiedna. Three storks landed at the top of a tall factory chimney. At one point, one of them lost its balance and fell inside the structure.

The first reports indicated that the bird was stuck at a height of about 20 metres. However, when the emergency services arrived, it turned out that the situation was much more serious. The stork had fallen all the way to the bottom of the chimney, which is several dozen metres high.

Despite falling from a great height, there were many indications that the animal had survived. The firefighters immediately began the rescue operation.

Because of the structure of the facility, access to the bird was very difficult, so the rescuers decided to dig through the floor manually at the base of the chimney.

The operation lasted more than an hour and required considerable effort and precision. Ultimately, the firefighters managed to reach the trapped stork. As reported at 20:54, the bird was alive.

A short while later, at around 21:05, a veterinarian was called to the scene. The veterinarian took charge of the injured animal and provided further assistance.

This is another recent operation in which firefighters have managed to save an animal. Let us recall some of them:
