A tragic accident occurred on road K-36 along the Lubin–Ścinawa route. As a result of the collision, a 76-year-old man riding a bicycle died at the scene. Police officers from Lubin are investigating the case and determining the exact circumstances and causes of the incident.
According to the services, a police patrol and a medical rescue team were immediately dispatched to the scene. The officers were the first to begin resuscitation of the injured man. The medical rescuers then continued the rescue operation. Unfortunately, despite intensive efforts, the senior citizen could not be saved.
Traffic on the road at the accident site was temporarily disrupted, while police officers carried out activities under the supervision of a prosecutor.
Evidence was secured and witnesses were questioned in order to accurately reconstruct the course of the incident.
The police appeal to all road users to exercise particular caution. Officers remind everyone that a moment of inattention can lead to irreversible consequences. Special attention should be paid to vulnerable road users, such as cyclists and pedestrians.
