After the winter break, construction projects have resumed across the country. The same is true of one of the region’s most important road investments. The redevelopment of the national road no. 94 transport network in Bolesławiec is picking up pace, and clear progress can be seen at the construction site.
A key element of the investment is the construction of two new bridges over the Bóbr River. The structures are intended to significantly improve traffic capacity and safety, as well as relieve the existing crossing.
The Bridge Is Already Taking Shape. Intensive Work Is Underway
The contractor is currently focused on equipping the new northern bridge, which is being built right next to the existing crossing. Work related to concreting the sidewalk caps is underway on the approaches. This is one of the stages preparing the structure for further finishing works.
Soon, safety barriers will be installed on the bridge. At the same time, earthworks related to the construction of road embankments are underway; these will form the approaches to the new infrastructure.
Not Just Bridges. The Entire Network Is Being Expanded
The investment covers not only the crossings themselves, but also a wide range of infrastructure works. A stormwater drainage system and telecommunications network are being built on site, which will allow the entire transport network to be adapted to modern standards.
These less visible elements are precisely what is crucial to the durability and functionality of the new road.
There Is a Specific Completion Date
The most important information for drivers and residents concerns the work schedule. According to the current plans, completion of the DK94 redevelopment in Bolesławiec is scheduled for the third quarter of 2027.
What Does This Mean for Drivers?
Once the investment is complete, drivers can expect:
- better traffic capacity,
- increased safety,
- modern road and bridge infrastructure.
For residents of the region, this is also an important step toward improving transport connections and developing the local economy.
