Detectives established that a 34-year-old man who had been hiding from justice for nearly 10 years had returned to Poland. – The officers immediately took steps to arrest him – reports junior aspirant Olga Łukaszewicz of the Lwówek KPP.
On Friday morning, police officers knocked on the door of a house in Lwówek County. The wanted man was staying there. The spokesperson said: – The man was clearly surprised by the officers’ visit. Although he had changed his personal details over the years and significantly altered his appearance, the detectives had no doubt about his identity.
The arrested 34-year-old was wanted under an arrest warrant. His record includes, among other offenses, burglaries, property damage, bodily harm, abuse and violating an officer’s bodily integrity.
The man was arrested and then taken to pre-trial detention. By court decision, he will spend nearly three years in prison.
