On 24 March 2026, a malfunction of one of the street lighting points was reported. The report was forwarded to the investment contractor—the company responsible for constructing the lighting, completed at the end of 2025—under the applicable warranty.
On the last day of March, during service work carried out near Stacyjna Street in Zebrzydowa (beyond the railway crossing), service company employees discovered... an illegal connection to the street lighting installation.
The following were found at the site:
- an open door on the lighting pole,
- removal of the safety device,
- an illegal connection to the electrical installation,
- a cable routed under the fence.
Municipal officials: – This action was the direct cause of the lighting malfunction.

The lighting point was restored to proper operation, and the entire incident was documented. The office: – In connection with the incident, a notification of suspected crime was prepared and submitted to the Police Station in Nowogrodziec.
